The Rural East Midlands in 2007: Summary Report
The development of the
current Regional Economic Strategy (RES) for the East Midlands
demonstrated the value of a strong body of evidence to assist policy
making. The significance of rural areas as a focus of policy interest
and delivery activity necessitates the production of an evidence base
tailored to rural areas.
This rural summary report is being published to coincide with the launch of the East Midlands Rural Action Plan.
It will be followed in spring 2007 by a more detailed report on the
state of the rural East Midlands, which will be be available on the
IEM website.
