Intelligence East Midlands is part of Regeneration East Midlands, which aims to promote excellence in regeneration in the region. Regeneration East Midlands also includes the East Midlands Funding Forum and Opun, the architecture and built environment centre for the East Midlands.

Intelligence East Midlands is overseen by a steering group. The role and objectives of the steering group are outlined in the terms of reference.
